We fully reviewed this bookmaker to see if they are worth signing up to. Payouts, security and site usability are further subjects that we will discuss. Keep reading our BetStorm review to find out if they blew us away or were more of a storm in a teacup.

Introduction to the BetStorm Sports Betting Site

BetStorm is a new UK bookmaker that launched in 2021. When we started our BetStorm review, we didn’t know what to expect. As it turns out, the site does some things well and others leave room for improvement.

Sports Markets and Betting Types

A big positive of the BetStorm sports betting site is the sheer number of sports and events available to bet on. There are more than 36 sports and thousands of markets for punters to choose from. It is a choice that rivals some of the best betting websites.

BetStorm is very strong when it comes to eSports betting. The bookmaker covers all of the major eSports and features them prominently on its navigation amongst the more established sports.

All the most well-known sports such as – World Cup betting – are more than adequately covered and niche sports are also available to wager on. We were really impressed with the amount of different events and sports that BetStorm betting is available for.

All the major football leagues are well covered at BetStorm. You can place a variety of bets on the EPL, Bundesliga and the Champions League. The number of markets featured at BetStorm compares well with other best football betting sites.

When it comes to tennis, BetStorm again stands up to scrutiny. Naturally all the major tournaments are covered, but you can also bet on Challenger and ITF matches from around the world. Some other tennis bookies don’t have such a big selection of matches to wager on.

One notable omission is horse racing. You can’t bet on British or Irish racing at BetStorm, so instead you’ll have to visit one of the other UK horse racing sites to place a bet. For those who love combat sports, BetStorm are up there with the best boxing betting sites in terms of markets available to bet on.

If we were to criticise, there is simply too much choice. Popular sports sit side to side with more obscure sports and eSports in the navigation menus. Many punters just want to bet on big sporting events, and it would help them if these were made to stand out more.

In-play Betting & Live Streaming at BetStorm

In-play betting is well covered at BetStorm UK. In fact, the latest matches currently taking place are displayed prominently on their homepage, so anyone who wants to bet in-play can jump right in.

On many other live betting sites in the UK, you have to dig into the submenu of each individual sport to find live event to bet on. Whereas on BetStorm, live betting opportunities are always prominently shown on the homepage.

We are doing a comprehensive BetStorm review, so we have to mention that the operator doesn’t offer live streaming. You can’t watch live sport on BetStorm after you bet on it. This is a disappointment and a disadvantage compared wither other UK bookies.

Multiples Bets at BetStorm

Accumulators are vastly popular high-risk, high-reward bets that UK punters love to make. The BetStorm sports betting platform offers multiples bets, so customers will have no problem in placing their ‘accas’ here.

System betting is an alternative way of making multiples bets. To help you make the combinations more easily, BetStorm offers multi-leg wagers like the Heinz, Trixie and Yankee bets. You can see more information about these wagers and the best system betting sites on our dedicated page.

Bet and Win Limits at BetStorm UK

Unfortunately, the site does not disclose the exact quantities that it will accept on individual bets to non-members. That even includes us, surprisingly. This was a real disappointment in how the company’s customer services works. However, we can give you some details.

The bet and win limits at BetStorm are in line with other newer betting sites on the market. This means that they will not compete with the largest bookies on the market but will be more than acceptable for the vast majority of punters. Unless you are wanting to drop thousands on an outside chance, then you won’t have much to worry about here.

Odds Not Always the Best 6

Our BetStorm review needs to be balanced and if there is one aspect of the site that needs to improve it is the odds. The BetStorm odds on the Premier League are reasonably competitive, but their odds on other sports are distinctly stingy.

Below we show some of the odds levels for the most popular sports. Punters will likely find BetStorm odds on a par worse on average than their competitors. Certainly nothing stood out for us when we looked for something to bet on.

Odds Levels for the Largest Sports Markets
  • .
  • Football 92.12 - 94.43%
  • Basketball 91.83 - 93.08%
  • Ice Hockey 91.67 - 93.08%
  • Tennis 91.44 - 91.90%
  • Golf 90.02 - 92.33%
  • Am. Football 91.87 - 94.92%
  • Rugby Union 89.97 - 91.89%
  • eSports 91.57 - 92.03%
  • . .
  • .....
  • Return to Player (%)

The odds for live betting at BetStorm are much the same story. Again they don’t grab the attention and are average or below average on most sports.

We always suggest shopping around and having accounts with multiple bookmakers so you know you will always get the best prices. You can check out the best odds online from our favourite sites,

Payment Methods at BetStorm

UK punters all have their own preferences when it comes to payment methods and fortunately BetStorm has a variety of payment options available. Debit card payments are a popular option and eWallets such as PayPal betting sites, Neteller and Skrill are also accepted at BetStorm.

Payment Methods Withdrawal Limits Deposit Limits Withdrawal Time Deposit Time Fees
visa Unlimited £10 – Unlimited Up to 2 Days Instant Free
MasterCard Unlimited £10 – Unlimited Up to 2 Days Instant Free
PayPal Unlimited £10 – £2,500 Up to 2 Days Instant Free
paysafecard Unlimited £10 – £700 N/A Instant Free
Neteller Unlimited £10 – £5,000 Up to 2 Days Instant Free
Skrill Unlimited £10 – £2,500 Up to 2 Days Instant Free

Our BetStorm review is happy to share that there are no operator fees associated with any of the major payment methods when using this operator. With a range of deposit and withdrawal methods and no fees, BetStorm does well in this category and seems like a solid option.

Functional but Cluttered Platform

Graphically the BetStorm website is easy on the eye but the web version has an annoying feature where you need to scroll down below the fold of the page to find any betting markets at all.

On the navigation bar, less popular sports like E-basketball are featured higher on the menu than popular ones such as golf and horse racing. We like BetStorm’s commitment to featuring eSports but feel that these such be kept in one category instead of each having their own individual section.

With such a vast array of sports on offer, the search function is vital in finding the BetStorm betting market you’re looking for. Thankfully the search function seems to work well making up for the clunky and overcrowded navigation system.

How to Place a Bet at BetStorm

Placing a wager at the BetStorm sports betting platform is a straightforward process. Once you’ve found the market you want, click your bet of choice and add it to your bet slip. Then choose your stake, select any multiples you want to place and submit your wager.

The process can be broken down into three steps. Below is our step-by-step guide to placing a wager at BetStorm:

  • [1] Open Your Account Creating an account with BetStorm.Make sure you have a funded account and claim any initial bonuses you’re eligible for.
  • [2] Select Your Markets The BetStorm odds board with selections.Use the odds board to select your wagers. You can add several bets to your bet slip at once.
  • [3] Place Your Bets A finished BetStorm bet slip with confirmation. Use the bet slip to complete any accumulators, system bets or free bets you would like to use.

Placing a live bet is just as easy Events that are in-play feature prominently on the BetStorm homepage. Once again find your chosen market, select your stake and place your bet.

Live odds will be constantly changing, so make sure you are up to date with what is happening before you place a wager. There will also be a warning message that appears before you place a bet.

Company Info

BetStorm is owned and operated by Progress Play Limited (PPL). PPL is one of the leading providers of white label online sportsbooks. The site was launched in 2021, making it one of the freshest and most exciting new kids on the block. Read on in the next sections to find out more about BetStorm UK.

As mentioned before, BetStorm UK launched in 2021 by ProgressPlay. It’s a name that you might well have heard before. This is the company behind 206 different online casinos and betting sites. These include lots of different white label sites. While none of them are top-tier household names, the company is certainly experienced at running successful operations.

In the table below, you can see some basic facts and details about ProgressPlay, the company behind BetStorm UK. This may help you to feel a little more at home with the brand. After all, it’s always a good idea to know where it is that you are sending your money.

As with all first-class betting sites, BetStorm bookmakers is keen to make sure that players all have access to good responsible gambling advice and information. You will find a section on the website with crucial details, as well as see evidence of the company’s support of key gambling charities in the website’s footer.

Customer Support 6

Good customer support is important for any punter. BetStorm has 24-hour chat support and there is also email support if you prefer that option. Unfortunately, the site doesn’t offer telephone support.

We contacted BetStorm customer support with some questions about the platform for our BetStorm review. They couldn’t answer any of them and directed to their homepage, leaving us to try and find the info ourselves. Our dealings with BetStorm support were a disappointing experience to say the least.

Licensing & Security 10

BetStorm sports betting is offered under full licensing by the Gambling Commission. The current and valid licence is number 39335. You may also be glad to hear that the operator holds a full gaming licence from the Malta Gaming Authority. While this is, of course, not a requirement for gaming operations in the United Kingdom, it is another sign of the quality and trustworthiness of the site.

The website is fully encrypted, using top-of-the-line security and anti-malware technology. As such, you can input your personal details to the site and make payments to and from it with confidence. Of course, you should still make sure that you maintain good IT safety measures, like using a unique password for each online account that you have.

Bonus Points for BetStorm 2

We offer bonus points for extra features, but as a new site without much of an identity yet, nothing stands out too much at BetStorm so far.

There is a sign-up bonus, some promotions and a rewards programme, so this does get the site a couple of bonus points in our BetStorm review.

Below you can see a summary of the bonus points we have awarded. However as BetStorm UK is a new brand, they may develop and we could be awarding them more bonus points in the future.

  • Live Streams 0/3
  • Sponsorship 0/3
  • Awards 0/2
  • Extra Markets 1/1
  • Bonuses 1/1
  • Bonus Points 2

It is worth expanding further about the rewards programme at the BetStorm betting site. In the rewards programme you can complete missions and then level up to earn points. These points can be spent on bonuses and other extras, so this is a nice addition.

Conclusion: A Decent New Arrival

We’ll be honest; there is good and bad to say at the end of this BetStorm review. But it is mostly positive, so we’ll start there. There is a really good range of sports markets covered, especially in the big headline sports. In addition, the live, in-play betting options are excellent as well. This is somewhat of a surprise, considering the site’s youth.

As well as that, you can use most big payment methods in order to deposit and withdraw your funds from the BetStorm betting site. Who doesn’t love options, after all? And it is a real bonus to know that you can use payment services that you know and like.

However, there are some areas for improvement that we noticed. The customer service, while 24-hours a day, was a bit disappointing. The staff simply were not able to help out with fairly simple requests. Secondly, the BetStorm odds are not always the best. If the operator can make some improvements here, then anyone would be in a good position to consider this site.
