Erik Ten Hag led the Red Devils to Carabao Cup success and finished third in the Premier League table to qualify for the Champions League. Manchester United have lost five games from the opening ten games, losing 3 – 0 at the Theatre of Dreams against town rivals Manchester City.

They were bundled out of the Carabao Cup by Newcastle, who they beat in the final as they triumphed in the competition last season. The cloud keeps darkening with the saving grace of winning the previous two away games heading to the Craven Cottage and has not lost against their hosts in fourteen years, winning fourteen and drawing three. The impressive record includes six wins from the last six travels to this stadium. A poor first half is what we can expect as both sides have led just once in their ten games so far with a record of four draws and five defeats, the joint worst alongside Luton.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored three goals against Brighton on prior occasions, and his morale will be boosted after crossing the half-a-century milestone in Premier League goals.

Brighton has been one of the best sides in the Premier League with exceptional performances, especially against the top teams, but has slipped up against such bananas in recent games. It was the longest winless streak for the Italian since his first five games with the Seagulls. Both defeats came on the road, and it would be hard to inspire the side against a third consecutive defeat. Bournemouth are full of confidence after mastering their first win in the Premier League when they beat Burnley 2 – 1 to move out of the red zone. They need a spirited effort and a moment of magic, just as Philip Billing’s forty-yard strike won them the match against Burnley to beat the in-form Manchester City. Defensively, they are the third-best defence, having let in nine goals, with only Man City (seven) and Arsenal (eight) letting in fewer. The trip to Luton Town comes on the back of a 2 – 1 victory against Bournemouth to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. They will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven (five wins, one draw) and increase their winning streak to five games in all competitions, having won the last four.
