Premier League match week twenty-nine has been trimmed to just four games, with the FA Cup quarter-finals played simultaneously. Although the Premier League schedule is lighter this week, some vital games affect the race for Europe and the battle to avoid relegation. The match week has some incredible games that could impact the relegation struggle at the bottom of the table. Burnley welcomes Brentford, but despite the point advantage for the Bees, this match is still a relegation battle.

Luton welcomes Nottingham Forest, an exciting tie as the two sides are separated by just three points, with a win for the hosts by two goals or more would mean they exchange places.

Tottenham, who have been in impressive form, will travel to Craven Cottage knowing a win will send them to the top four, at least temporarily, with Aston Villa and West Ham set to play on Sunday.

Villa has a loose grip on the Champions League slot while the Hammers are leading the race for finishing seventh, but a hungry pack of four teams separated by just four points follow closely.

Premier League Betting – Burnley vs Brentford

Burnley had a two-goal lead in their weekend encounter against West Ham but was sloppy in the second half in drawing 2-2 and was lucky to steal a point from the match. Vincent Kompany’s side has lost twenty points from winning position, which raises their prospects of slipping back to the Championship.

The Clarets are tied on fourteen points alongside Sheffield United and ten points from seventeenth-placed Nottingham Forest. Heading back to Turf Moor wouldn’t be optimistic for Kompany’s side, who have lost a league-high eleven home games, winning just once (two draws) all season. The best positive heading to the match is their head-to-head record against Brentford, as they won (3-1) the last match against them here despite losing the previous two games against them (both away).

A defeat would condemn them to three consecutive defeats against the Bees, but most importantly, keep deeming their hope for redemption to secure another top-flight season.

David Datro Fofana scored a screamer in the fifteenth minute to raise the morale and would be one to watch with his quality in long shots providing an auxiliary source of goals.

Brentford got a reality check of how far they have drifted from their best after challenging competitively for a 2-2 draw against Chelsea; they failed to rescue a point, conceding late to lose 2-1 against Arsenal. Like their hosts, the travelling side is desperate for redemption; their poor form of five winless games (one draw, four defeats) sees them drag five points from the relegation zone.

Thomas Frank would be particularly concerned about his side’s form on the road, where they had eight defeats in the previous nine games (one win). They boast a good record against their host and will be eyeing a first double against them for the first time since the 1934-35 campaign.

It is an unwanted record for the travelling side that has conceded the most headed goals this season (seventeen).

Saman Ghoddos came off the bench to score twice against Brentford in the last three games. He should be a starter with his excellent form against the hosts.

Manager Rob Edwards has to revitalise his side to be more resilient and consistent in ending their seven-game winless run (two draws, five defeats). Captain Carlton Morris has been leading from the front, scoring in his last three home games.

Nottingham Forest fans must have been wearing Bournemouth jerseys in the Wednesday clash, as they were the side that would have moved to the red zone if the scores hadn’t changed in the second half. Three points still separate the two sides, and the Foresters enjoy a better goal difference.

However, things could worsen if they are punished for their ongoing case of breaching spending rules that could warrant a point deduction, which would significantly affect their relegation quest. Not in their best form, Nottingham Forest have lost six of their last eight games (one win, one draw), including their last three games.

On the road, they haven’t been particularly significant, winning twice in their previous twenty-four games (sixteen defeats, six draws), including a 1-0 defeat in their last encounter here.

Marco Silva’s men must work on their consistency to marshal an excellent run to stay on course with eyes on Rodrigo Muniz, who has scored in his side’s last three home games.

They came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Burnley in their last match. Paqueta scored in two consecutive games, seemingly finding his touch after being side-lined with injury.

Unai Emery is a European specialist and seems to have clear intentions to transform the Premier League outfit to challenge the top tournaments. His blueprint appears to be working.
