With team goals solidifying and the fight for positions intensifying, the stakes couldn’t be higher at the top and bottom of the table.

The battle for the top spot took a dramatic turn when Liverpool fell to Arsenal this weekend, igniting a three-way race for the title. In a favourable position, Manchester City could climb to the top of the table as they open the weekend with a home match against Everton.

Liverpool aims to reclaim their top position by facing off against Burnley, who are struggling to avoid relegation. This match presents an ideal opportunity for Liverpool to get back into form. Buoyed by recent successes, Arsenal heads to the London Stadium to take on West Ham, looking to strengthen their position in the title race. With their sights set on Champions League football, Tottenham will host Brighton, while Newcastle visits Nottingham Forest, hoping to make up lost ground in their attempts to secure a spot in European competition.

Liverpool hopes to reinstate their dominance at the top with a match against relegation-threatened Burnley, a perfect duel to help them rediscover their form. The Gunners would be the most confident heading to the London Stadium to face West Ham, hoping to build on their impressive record and establish a strong claim in the title race. Tottenham, whose hopes for silverware are at the mercy of the Premier League, play Brighton at home. Newcastle travel to Nottingham Forest, hoping to cement a place in European qualifying slots.

Premier League Betting – Manchester City vs Everton

Manchester City is charging towards their fourth consecutive Premier League title, showcasing the formidable winning streak they’re known for during a title chase. They are in formidable form and currently unbeaten in twelve matches, including nine wins across all competitions. Everton may yet receive the ten points back they were docked for breaching financial rules, but with another charge pending, any joy experienced may be short-lived. Jordan Pickford has been delivering impressive performances for Everton in goal, with his eight clean sheets the best tally in the league. However, in fourteen attempts, the English shot-stopper has never kept a shutout against their weekend hosts.

Premier League Betting – Liverpool vs Burnley

Liverpool was unconvincing at the Emirates, losing 3-1 to lose their grip at the top of the table with just one point behind the chasing park of Manchester City and Arsenal.

They could lose their top spot if the defending Champions, the Citizens, win the early kickoff, and it would be interesting to see how they perform while chasing. However, a game against the relegation-threatened side, Burnley, presents an appealing chance to get their rhythm back together and rediscover their form heading to the season’s final stretch.

The Reds have an excellent head-to-head record against the Clarets, winning nine in their twelve (two draws, one defeat) while keeping a clean sheet in the last four (winning four). Curtis Jones has been in good form at home, with five goals this season coming at Anfield, and he has won four of the games he scored in.

Burnley was the team that ended Liverpool’s sixty-eight-game unbeaten run in January 2021 with a 1-0 victory at Anfield. Seven points stand between Burnley and safety, and Vincent Kompany needs to deliver a launching pad early in the season if they could marshal a survival with games burning out fast.

They have won just two points from six games, but a great battle from two goals down against Fulham to earn a crucial point should gear them for the battle at Anfield. They must inject the fighting spirit into games on the travel, losing eight of the ten matches (winning one, drawing one).

David Datro Fofana has been directly involved in Clarets’ last three goals (two goals, one assist). Considering their impressive scoring form on the road, scoring in six of the last seven away games, they might give the hosts a scare.

Newcastle gave an inspiring performance in one of the season’s best games that ended 4-4 against Luton Town. Eddie Howe would be concerned his side gave away the lead twice in the game but would be delighted with the fighting spirit to the final minute.

The Magpies would be worried about their European aspiration as it has been slipping away momentarily and are now eleven points from the top five.

The defence has been their primary concern, especially for a side that was among the best last season with fifteen goals conceded over the previous five outings, taking their tally to thirty-seven. The total is four more than they conceded in the entirety of last season, with just one win (two draws, five defeats) on the road in the previous eight games.

Harvey Barnes scored for Leicester City against Nottingham Forest last season and was on target in their previous match against Luton Town.

Their aspirations for a title are increasingly focused on success in the Premier League this season.

Richarlison has been in fine form for Tottenham, scoring in four straight home wins and bagging two goals in the previous game. The Brazilian have been impressive in the absence of Heung-Min Son, their top scorer with twelve goals. As Son is likely to return to action after suffering defeat in the Asian Cup with South Korea, he is likely to lead the line.

Roberto De Zerbi, who has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, will not be in the stands after receiving a yellow card in their previous game. They have failed to beat the odds as they have lost four of the five games (one win) they played as underdogs.

Simon Adingra is still on international duty with Ivory Coast. Solly March, Joel Veltman, James Milner, and Julio Enciso are all sidelined due to injuries.

Joao Pedro scored twice and provided an assist in the reverse game between the two sides, where they won 4-2, with five of his six goals being scored away from home.

Arsenal will still be missing the injured trio of Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey, and Fabio Vieira. Gabriel Jesus’s participation is uncertain, and Oleksandr Zinchenko had to leave the game against Liverpool due to a calf problem.

Leandro Trossard has scored five of his six goals after the fifty-fifth minute and has been a had a late influential cameo role, netting the third goal in their win against Liverpool. In terms of performance, Arsenal has been one of the most consistent teams in the league this season but has lacked efficiency in front of goal.

A positive outcome against the defending champions could serve as the morale boost they need to kickstart a strong run.

Arsenal needs to uphold its status as a title contender, and it’s anticipated they will secure maximum points against West Ham. Tottenham must demonstrate its position in the table as more than just a contender for European spots; therefore, their prospects at home against Brighton look promising. Newcastle is expected to have the necessary capabilities to overcome Nottingham Forest.
