A Look at the Features
The Coral sportsbook app retains the same blue, white, yellow and green colour scheme of the online platform. Generally, the app is a well-executed duplicate of the web version, but with a few updated features, such as some exclusive bet prices and a more streamlined navigation. The sports and betting markets are about the same then, which means the app is packed with choices of tons of different sports and bet types. All the great features of the web platform are there also, such as the amazing in-play features and the accompanying high odds levels. On the whole, it’s a great looking and easy to use platform that is crammed full of markets, bets and extra features, which is a real winning formula.
How Easy Is It to Place a Bet?
Due to the excellent design of all the functions and features of the Coral mobile app, placing a bet here as quick as anywhere else. Just like with the online platforms, almost all operators utilise a bet slip feature which holds selections and keeps them minimised while you can select other bets. This feature works especially well for mobile and tablet devices where space is limited. As you can see from the slider below, placing bets on the Coral mobile app is a breeze.
From the main menu you can use the A-Z listing or the quick link bar running through the centre of the screen to select the desired sport. From here you can choose the fixture, the tournament, navigate to the live betting area, and also view the outright betting options. Once on the fixture, find the bet type you want to place and simply tap it to add it to your bet slip. Head to the bet slip, where you can enter in the stake for the bet. After this, check over the details and then tap “Bet Now” to confirm the bet.
Functionality, Navigation and Live-streams
The layout of the app is very similar to the online platform, which is great news as it means regular players will have no trouble finding their way around the app. But new users of Coral fear not, as the app has been created carefully with user-experience definitely at the forefront of the design process. Along the top of the screen there are the most important quick links, including an A-Z listing of the sports markets, in-play betting, promotions, live-streams, live-racing and quick links to popular sports markets, such as football, horse racing and golf. The home page also has quick links to betting highlights and upcoming events, while the banner at the bottom of the screen has further links to sports markets and in-play betting, as well as to the cash out feature and a link to the homepage.
Throughout our intensive testing of the sportsbook app – whether on a mobile or tablet device – the app always ran smoothly. In-play odds updated quickly and any delays to in-play bets were nothing outside what is normal when betting on live fixtures. Coral is one of just a few operators that stream sports other than horse racing to mobile devices. The streams are of a great quality and although they are perhaps not as numerous as at some operators, there are always a few to choose from. The live-streams are a great feature of the Coral sportsbook app and area where they are way ahead of most of the competition. I found the streams to always run smoothly while on a good Wi-Fi connection, but bear in mind that the streams could lag when using a 3G or 4G connection.
Plenty of Promotions and Exclusive Enhanced Odds
As I mentioned above, there’s a promotions section on the app, which contains a good number of the promotions and offers that are available on the web platform. There really are tons of offers and promotions here, so all the bonus hunters will be very happy here. However as previously mentioned, they can all be found on the web version too. Users of the Coral sports betting app are straight away treated to betting specials which are featured on the homepage under the “Featured” tab. While these are not always exclusive to the app, they are immediately visible for upcoming events and can definitely be found and reached easier than on the web version. Scrolling along this row also reveals the enhanced multiples tab, which contains special prices for unique multiples bets. Mobile users will be happy to learn that there are enhanced prices on some bets that are exclusive to the app. These change daily and can help to bring a bit of extra value to mobile sports betting with the bookmaker.
Like all but one of our reviewed operators, there is no exclusive Coral mobile bonus. The welcome bonus for the online platform can of course be redeemed on the app however, so you can reap the rewards of the sign-up offer while betting on the move – the full list of available promotions that can be used on the mobile sportsbook can be found on our Coral bonus review page. The payment options for depositing and withdrawing with the app are a little limited though. The deposit methods valid on the web platform were already fairly small in scope, but had enough options with each type of payment available to keep any punter happy. With the mobile app though the story is a little different, since a number of e-Wallet payment methods are not valid. Paysafecard, Neteller and Skrill are all incompatible with the app, leaving PayPal as the only e-Wallet method. There are just debit cards and the Coral Connect system available after that, which is a small range in relation to the other bookmakers reviewed here. If you’re on the hunt for an operator that supports the same range of payment options on mobile as on desktop, the Betway mobile betting site comes with a great banking section.
The Coral mobile betting site is available for download for iOS and Android users. Windows phone users can still access the bookmaker from their phones, but there is no native app compatible with the Windows system. Instead, Windows users can use the browser on their phone to access the bookmaker’s website. While this is far less optimal than using an app, at least these punters have the opportunity to access the operators betting functions from their phones.
|All Details about the App Downloads
||iOS 6.0 or higher
|| 2.3 Gingerbread
For iOS users, you’ll need version 6 or higher to download the app and for it to function on your properly on your mobile. Simply head to the iTunes store as usual to download the app, which is 5.7MB in size. Android users can also download the app, and require Gingerbread version 2.3 or higher.
Conclusion – A Great Mobile Sports Betting Experience
Coral has a legion of fans across the world and I’m sure that most, if not all of them are equally fond of the sportsbook app. The bookmaker has not only managed to recreate the style and standout features of its web platform, but in many areas they have actually improved on it. Our tests found Coral to be one of the best in-play providers and this is not different with the app. There are endless markets and betting options for both in-play and pre-match markets. Add daily specials and enhanced odds to the mix and you’ve really got a winning combination.
Strengths and Weaknesses of Coral Welcome Bonus
- Major Strengths
- 300% bonus
- 4x £5 free bet tokens
- Minor Strengths
- valid for 14 days after registration
- can be redeemed online and via telephone
As you can see from the table above, our tests found no major weaknesses of the Coral sportsbook app. One minor issue is the limited number of live-streams in comparison to the desktop site, which in all fairness is something that all the operators are guilty of. Another minor criticism is the absence of the live chat customer service feature on the app. This is perhaps one missing ingredient that prevents Coral ranking even higher in the mobile betting leader board – Betfred for instance support live customer chat on mobile – which no doubt makes for a more rounded, more complete betting app. One other point is that the number of deposit options for the app is particularly constricted. But these are minor complaints that should not put you off what is a great mobile betting experience.

Why is the Android download not available on the Google Play Store?
Google currently does not allow sports betting or gambling apps to be featured on its store. For this reason, the Coral Android app must be downloaded directly from the bookmaker’s website.
