Overview
When you first land on the bet-at-home app homepage, you’ll notice that there are a number of links to the different betting platforms: The Casino, Live Casino and Virtual betting areas. This is a little different to the layout utilised by many of the other betting sites featured here in our review series as most tend to keep the different platforms separate, which makes navigating around the app a little more straight-forward. Here, though, you can either go straight to your desired sports market by clicking on the relevant icon, or to reveal the complete list of markets, simply click on the Show All tab. Here you’ll see that the a-z sports page doubles up as the sports betting home page. At the top of the screen you have all the live betting highlights; all the events currently underway or about to start are displayed neatly in a window slideshow, with the complete list of sports markets, as well as some quick links to the live scores and results pages that are displayed further down the page.
How East Is It to Place a Bet?
Just as you’d expect, the bet placement process is nice and simple. To get things started you first need to select your desired sport from the list of options, and then hone in to locate your desired competition, fixture and betting market. Once you’ve found a bet you like the look of, click on the odds price button located just under where it reads “Tip”, and the selection will be added to your bet slip.
Clicking on the odds price will prompt your bet slip to pop up; it is at this point you should enter your desired stake amount into the empty box, or you can choose from one of the pre-selected amounts. Once you’re happy with the selection and stake amount, just hit the Place bet key to make it final.
Functionality & Navigation
As briefly alluded to earlier, bet-at-home operates with a different layout and design than you’re perhaps used to. Rather than keeping the different platforms separate the homepage is instead dedicated to the Sports, Casino and Virtual pages, which we think makes the navigating around the site a little awkward. This of course comes down to a matter of personal preference; some punters will prefer this type of design, as it merges all the different betting products together on the same app, while others will prefer a slightly more compartmental approach. Ultimately, though, it is for you to decide, but we think that despite this, the app performs well.
The mobile app comes complete with a live scores and stats centre so that you can always stay up-to-date with the latest goings on. To add to this, the same great in-play graphics you see on the main betting platform are retained on mobile, so even though there aren’t any live streams, you can always stay right at the centre of the action. Aside from this, though, there isn’t anything else worthy of any extra praise. If you’re on the hunt for a mobile betting app packed with a whole host of extra features, we’d recommend William Hill.
Mobile Bonus and Payment Options
There is no mobile bonus at bet-at-home.
Although bet-at-home don’t offer quite the same range of payment options on mobile as they do for the main desktop site, there’s still a decent selection available here. Punters can choose from Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller and direct bank transfer payments.
The Download Requirements
The bet-at-home native download app is available on iOS and Android devices, however, the mobile version of the site is supported through other mobile devices. Wherever possible, though, we would recommend using the downloadable app as it tends to operate a lot smoother, and far more efficiently.

Fair, But Could Be Better
Overall, the bet-at-home mobile app does what you need it to do. There’s a whole host of betting markets and sports markets to choose from – near enough the same amount as is available on the full desktop platform – however with no live streams, no special mobile bonus and minimal extra features, it is fair to say that there are better ones out there.
The Pros & Cons of bet-at-home In-play Betting
- Major Strengths
- fast & secure betting
- in-play cash out
- Minor Strengths
- free to download
- Minor Weaknesses
- limited extra features
The availability of the much-loved in-play cashout feature, live scores and stats features and the super-detailed live match ticker means that the app does have some standout talking points, however, we would like to see the operator make some improvements to the service in the future. For more info on the bet-at-home website head back over to the full review of the operator, or check out the main sports betting page for a quick look at the best betting sites of 2021.
