Buswell a 33/1 Dish in Celebrity MasterChef 2023 Betting

This summer John Torode and Gregg Wallace will put 20 famous faces through six weeks of challenges to discover who has the culinary skills to become the 2023 Celebrity MasterChef Champion. Love Island star Dani Dyer has been installed as the 3/1 favourite by MasterChef betting sites. TV presenter Dave Benson Phillips is the 50/1 outsider.

The BBC has attracted some big names for the 2023 show. It will run for six weeks and begins with four one-hour episodes. The broadcaster says: “An array of cookery challenges will then stretch the remaining celebrities’ culinary ability to their limits as they head through the competition”. Returning challenges include Dinner Party Dish, Nostalgia Dish, and a brand-new Celebrity Food Truck challenge.

Celeb History Does Not Help

Whereas MasterChef first aired in 1990, Celebrity MasterChef did not make its debut until 2006. In previous years a series lasted up to 30 episodes, but since 2014, the show has been shortened and had 20 celebrities competing for the title.

The recent winners are Lisa Snowden (TV and radio presenter) 2022, Kadeena Cox (parasport athlete) 2021, Riyadh Khalaf (YouTuber and radio presenter) 2020, Greg Rutherford (track and field athlete) 2019, John Partridge (EastEnders actor) 2018, Angellica Bell (radio presenter) 2017, Alexis Conran (TV and radio presenter) 2016, Kimberly Kaye Wyatt (Pussycat Doll member) 2015, Sophie Thompson (EastEnders and Coronation Street actress) 2014.

Historical results give little indication as to the destination of the 2023 title and trophy. Lack of success does suggest that candidates aged 50-plus lack the skills required to win favour with the judges.

What Are the 2023 Celebrity MasterChef Odds?

3/1 Dani Dyer, 7/2 Amy Walsh, Jamelia, 9/1 James Buckley, Locksmith, 12/1 Luca Bish, Marcus Brigstock, Max George, 16/1 Mica Ven, Michael Praed, Remi Burgz, 25/1 Sam Fox, Shazia Mirza, 33/1 Richie Anderson, Terry Christian, Wayne Evans, Apl.de.Ap, Cheryl Hole, Dianne Buswell, 50/1 Dave Benson Phillips.

Who Is the Best Bet in Celebrity Masterchef 2023?

Age may be on her side, but Dani Dyer did not immediately strike as the next Delia Smith when appearing on the Channel 4’s Absolutely Dyer: Danny & Dani Do Italy at the start of the year.

Conversely, Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell released a book in March 2023 that suggests she might be a dab hand in the kitchen. Amazon says of her publication: “Move Yourself Happy offers step-by-step explanations of core moves from yoga, Pilates and dance, including jive, tap, and ballet. It also contains Dianne’s favourite recipes, like her delicious homemade chocolate granola or spinach gnocchi”.

Chocolate granola and spinach gnocchi may not be Taittinger Culinary Prize-winning stuff, but in a competition where the form is non-existent, knowing Buswell can turn on a cooker is a big bonus and, at the 33/1 offered by the best MasterChef betting sites, backers cannot burn their fingers!
