The Mr Green T&C’s Document
Here is the complete list of T&C’s as shown on the betting site. We’ve added a few comments where we feel as though there’s a need for further explanation.
Section A – Conditions of Agreement
3. Bet Acceptance
4. Betting and Payout Limitations
4.1 “Mr Green reserves the right to limit the net payout (the payout after the stake has been deducted) on any bet or combination of bets by one Account Holder at £100,000. This limit may be lower depending on the specific sport, league and type of bet offer. For further information it is recommended to consult the Sport Specific Limits in <Section C, Para 32>.
Comments: Whilst this is a condition that every betting site will have written down, the amount which they choose to set as their maximum payout limit varies greatly. Here you can see that Mr Green set their limit at £100,000, which is considerably lower than other operators such as William Hill that set their maximum as high as £2,000,000 for some sports.
5. Cancellation (Voiding) of Bets
5.3 “Mr Green reserves the right, at its own discretion, to declare a bet void, totally or partly, if it is obvious that any of the following circumstances have occurred: a. Bets have been offered, placed and/or accepted due to an Error; b. Bets placed while the website was encountering technical problems, that would otherwise not have been accepted; c. Influence Betting; d. Syndicate Betting; e. A result has been affected by criminal actions – directly or indirectly; f. A public announcement has occurred in relation to the bet which alters significantly the odds.”
Comments: Every bookmaker, regardless of their age or status, will have the right to void a bet if they deem that it has been placed under dubious or somewhat questionable circumstances. If you have ideas about trying to pull a fast one, think again: the operator will simply cancel your bet and you’ll probably blacklisted from the site for the future.
6. Disclaimer and Priority
Section B – General Betting Rules
1. Common Terms of Reference
2. Bet Types
3. Betting Props
4. System Bets
5. Result Settlement
6. Tattersalls Rule 4
Section C – Sport Specific/Category Rules
1. Olympic and Championship events
2. American Football
4. Australian Rules Football
8. Beach Volleyball
12. Cycling (Road & Track)
13. Cyclo Cross
18. Ice Hockey
19. Motor Sports
21. Pesäpallo (Finnish Baseball)
22. Rugby League
23. Rugby Union
23.1“Unless otherwise specified all bets referring to the match and team performances, etc. are settled in accordance with the result at the end of the 2nd half (after 80 minutes play).”
Comments: This, again, is another pretty standard condition that pretty much every betting site will have written down. All bets for rugby, as well as football and other team sports, are a settled in accordance after 80 minutes. Anything that occurs in extra time isn’t applied to the bet unless otherwise stated.
